Tempering Diverters

Tempering Diverters

Tempering diverters (ULE) ensure a consistent flow cross-section, as they allow the riser holes to have the same diameter as the other cooling channels.

Efficient Tempering with Tempering Diverters

Optimal Tempering Effect

Tempering diverters are used for tempering in riser bores and are a further development of conventionally tempered riser bores with deflection plates. Tempering bores should always be round and connected in a forced circuit. Depending on the diameter and tempering circuit length, turbulent tempering can be achieved, which is considered particularly effective. The uniform flow and thus optimal tempering effect lead to high component quality and process reliability.

Versions and Technical Data

Tempering diverters are available in two versions for 4 mm and 6 mm tempering bores. The components made of material 1.4301 are suitable for all mold surface temperatures. They are available as standard parts with a length of 250 mm from stock and are individually cut to the required installation dimension by the customer. The outer diameter of the diverters is 8 mm or 10 mm and is manufactured with an h9 fit. We provide corresponding information on the required installation space in the mold.
